Not About I

I said I would be more Holy
I said I would praise your Name
And on every turn the devil was there
Yet God in his mercy for me took care

I said I’d try to do right
I said I’d walk in the light
The Devil tried to turn my days into nights
God gave me power through his might

I said that I would tell about Jesus
I’d let the world know of his joy
But the Devil made everything look pail
Still I heard Jesus say God never fails

So I came to a conclusion
It really is not about I
Now I’ve no confusion
It’s about the power above the sky
